Mansoor Shahid is a strategic results-oriented healthcare executive with a demonstrated track record of building winning teams and delivering proven results in the areas of margin expansion, customer retention and brand development. In his current role as EVP/System COO he partners extensively with other system executives and community leaders to grow the Mohawk Valley Health System brand and develop innovative family & caregiver empowerment solutions that improve outcomes for patients both inside and outside the traditional care environment. With more than a decade of experience Mansoor firmly believes the future of healthcare lies in delivering access enhancing, low-cost solutions that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of existing programs while reducing unnecessary utilization, improving quality outcomes, and maximizing profitability on core inpatient services.
Mansoor has extensive Lean and Six Sigma experience with his journey in total quality management beginning in 2008 while design engineering a comprehensive flow model focused on increasing patient throughput. He is a certified Lean Six Sigma Black belt with his efforts to reduce case cost variation, process waste and nonconformance to CTQ measures having produced millions of dollars in savings and benefits.
As a committed advisor, Mansoor is extensively involved in community and civic endeavors, offering a consultative approach with keen strategic insight. He merges his extensive management and healthcare expertise to identify innovative solution sets while providing guidance and counselling. He has partnered with foursquare research to bring funding to inner city projects, worked on an ambitious redevelopment plan for a struggling YMCA in Memphis, and served on various boards including the website governing body of ACHE. Mansoor has given various talks and presented at ACHE and University of Memphis sanctioned events.
Mansoor holds a Masters in Health Administration from the University of Memphis and is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Public Health from Johns Hopkins University. Prior to his current role he has held executive level roles at SSM Health in St. Louis and Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare in Memphis, TN. He lives in Utica, NY with his wife and nine year old daughter.
